Dr. Rosen is the Director of the Smokler Center for Health Policy Research of the Myers JDC Brookdale Institute in Jerusalem, Israel. The Myers JDC Brookdale Institute is Israel’s leading center for applied research on social policy and services, serving Israel, the Jewish world, and the international community.
Dr. Rosen received his BA from Harvard University and his Master and Doctorate of Science degrees in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University. At the Smokler Center for Health Policy Research, he coordinated a multi-pronged evaluation of Israel’s mental health insurance reform, and has worked with the Ministries of Health and Finance to identify research needs related to the German Committee reforms. An important component of Dr. Rosen’s career has involved facilitating cross-national learning between Israel, the U.S. and other countries.
