Dr. Cindy Leung is a nutrition epidemiologist in the Center for Health and Community in the UCSF School of Medicine. She received a MPH from UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health and a ScD in Nutrition and Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Leung’s research focuses on the complex relationships between household food security and psychological stress and their influence on diet-sensitive chronic disease in low-income children and adults. Another theme of her research is using scientific evidence to improve the nutritional impact of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
