Christie Sullivan
Emergency Medicine

Dr. Christie Sullivan is a board certified Emergency Medicine physician. She received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 2008 and completed her residency training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She has worked as an Emergency Medicine staff physician both at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN, and at St Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT. She is currently working part-time as an Urgent Care physician and community physician colloborator in the Greater Danbury area at Physician One Urgent Care.

In addition to her practice of Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care medicine, Dr. Sullivan is the medical director of Simple Wisdom Wellbeing Solutions. In this role, she serves on a team whose mission it is to improve overall happiness and productivity in the workplace by implementing sustainable health, wellness and lifestyle solutions to individual employees.

Dr. Sullivan recognizes that treating patients’ urgent care needs in the clinic or the Emergency room often requires a more comprehensive evaluation of their underlying health and wellness, including diet, physical activity, medication use, and mental and spiritual health. She strives to treat the total person, not just the patient’s chief complaint. One of her current interests is in incorporating preventive medicine and the concept of lifestyle as medicine into the urgent care setting.

Dr. Sullivan is currently pursuing a degree in Functional Medicine at the Institute for Functional Medicine. She is the mother of three children, and has a dog, a cat, and 6 chickens.  In her free time she loves to be active outside, doing activities such as hiking, kayaking, X-country skiing, downhill skiing, waterskiing, biking and jogging.
