Mike Rayner is a Professor of Population Health based in the Nuffield Department of Population Health of the University of Oxford.

His research interests are in healthy and sustainable foods, diets and food systems and in particular the means of promoting healthy and sustainable diets such as better food labelling, food marketing restrictions and food taxes.

Mike is also Chair of Sustain, the alliance for better food and farming in the UK, He is Chair of the Nutrition Expert Group for the European Heart Network based in Brussels. He is also an ordained priest in the Church of England.
