Dr. Oz is Professor of Surgery at Columbia University. He directs the Complementary Medicine Program at New York Presbyterian – Columbia University. He has authored over 400 original publications, book chapters and medical books, has received several patents, and performs 50 heart procedures per year.

Oz is the founder of HealthCorps, a non-profit organization that pays a stipend to recent college graduates to spend two years in high schools mentoring students about health, nutrition, and fitness. He also co-founded Sharecare, an interactive platform that allows patients to interface seamlessly with the health care system with personal profiles.

Dr. Oz authored seven New York Times Best Sellers, has a regular column in O, The Oprah Magazine and recently launched his own successful magazine called “The Good Life”. In addition, Dr. Oz has been named in Forbes magazine’s Most Influential Celebrity list (2010-2014), has been honored as one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People, Esquire magazine’s 75 Most Influential People of the 21st Century, and as a Global Leader of Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum.
