Margaret Moore, MBA, an executive coach and coaching entrepreneur, is a 17-year veteran of the biotechnology industry in the US, UK, Canada, and France. In 2000, Margaret founded Wellcoaches Corporation, now in partnership with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, which has trained more than 15,000 health professionals as health and well-being coaches in 50 countries. Margaret is co-founder and Chair of the Institute of Coaching at McLean Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham and psychiatric teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, and co-director of the Coaching in Leadership & Healthcare conference offered by IOC, McLean, and Harvard Medical School.
Margaret co-founded the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching and led the formation of a strategic partnership with the National Board of Medical Examiners to deliver national standards and certification for health and wellness coaches, and not national reimbursement for coaching services. Margaret co-authored the ACSM-endorsed Coaching Psychology Manual published by Wolters Kluwer (2009, 2015), and two Harvard Health books: Organize Your Mind, Organize Your Life (Harlequin, 2012), and Organize Your Emotions, Optimize Your Life (William Morrow, 2016), and the AMA book Coaching in Medical Education (Elsevier, 2022). She has co-authored 10 book chapters and 20 peer-reviewed papers on coaching.
