Dr. Weiss is a researcher, educator and public health professional with a passion for empowering individuals, organizations and communities to make positive lifestyle changes to reduce disease burden and achieve optimal health and wellbeing. She is the Education and Training Coordinator at Duke Integrative Medicine, where her primary area of focus encompasses the development and delivery of health behavior change programs.

A graduate of Tufts University, Tufts University School of Medicine and University of Washington, Dr. Weiss spent over 15 years conducting epidemiologic studies in the areas of obesity, cancer, cardiovascular disease and adolescent health. With a desire for translating knowledge about the causes of preventable chronic disease into action, she earned certifications in fitness training, nutrition and integrative health coaching.

Dr. Weiss has been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and featured on health and wellness sites such as Environmental Working Group, Well and Good, Greatist and Women’s Health. Beyond developing programs and content, she thrives on working one-on-one with clients to have an impact in their lives and walking the talk in her own.
