Dr. Lim is the Medical Director of the McDougall Program and a Lecturer at TrueNorth Health Center and Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center, where he leads various plant-based programs and initiatives. Dr. Lim is passionate about educating his patients, health care providers, and the public about the benefits of a whole-food, plant-based diet and healthy lifestyle in preventing, treating, and reversing chronic illnesses such as obesity, diabetes, cancer, and heart disease. He has traveled across the U.S. and worldwide giving lectures on nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and behavioral change. Dr. Lim is a graduate of Stanford University, Harvard Law School, and Boston University School of Medicine. He is board certified in family medicine and completed his residency training at Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency, a UCSF affiliate. He is also a bar-certified attorney in the state of California. Dr. Lim lives in Santa Rosa, California with his wife, Jean, and their two children, Joshua (13) and Julia (9), who bring them endless joy and laughter. His outside interests include playing out in nature, learning guitar, and continually growing in his Christian faith.
